Government: The Tajik side has violated the agreements

The Cabinet of Ministers issued a statement on the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. It says that the Tajik side violated previous agreements.

Until the completion of the delimitation and demarcation process, the Tajik military is violating agreements, despite agreements to ban any activity on unspecified sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

On June 4, 2021, at 03:00, it entered the territory of Kyrgyzstan a thousand meters and installed a container on an unidentified section of the Unju-Bulak state border in the Chon-Alai district of the Osh region.

Thus, the Tajik side aggravated the situation on the border. The government said in a statement that this was incompatible with good neighborly and friendly relations.

In this regard, to resolve the situation, the chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers for border issues Nazirbek Borubaev and the director of the State Agency for Land Resources Abdulat Myrzaev left for the region to resolve the situation.
