Tajik side fired at areas located on the territory of Kyrgyz Republic from helicopter — Border Service

On April 29, the Tajik side from Mi-24 helicopter fired at the Tort-Kocho and Chyr-Dobo areas of the Batken district of the Batken region, the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security said.

It is noted that the conflict on the border was provoked by the Tajik side. On April 29, Tajik soldiers fired at Kyrgyz border outposts and border posts using group weapons.

Also using Mi-24 helicopter from the air, the Tajik fired at the areas of Tort-Kocho, Chyr-Dobo, Batken district, Batken region.

In the course of clashes with the Tajik side, three servicemen of the Boru special-purpose detachment of the State Committee of National Security Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic were killed, and 22 servicemen received injuries of varying severity. The condition of two servicemen is assessed as serious.

The personnel brings condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
