Kyrgyz hostages were beaten with sticks in Tadjikistan

At 20:00 on May 1, 10 Kyrgyz citizens taken hostage by Tajikistan were beaten with sticks. This was announced by the Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev.

According to the minister, nine hostages were hospitalized, and one refused treatment. «They were beaten with sticks. They all had bruises. We hospitalized them all. However, one citizen refused treatment and went in search of his family. «During the Tajik attack, everyone fled in different directions.»

On the morning of April 29, the head of the International (Интернационал) village of Leilek district and nine local residents were taken hostage by Tajik citizens.

One of the victims is a medical worker. He is the son of Ashyraly Burkanaly uulu, a paramedic at the Batken Regional Center for Family Medicine. He was hospitalized with a concussion. At present, the situation is stable.
